A man wakes on wet asphalt in a city with no traffic and no sound. A group of strangers walks toward him down the middle of the street, smiling, delighted to see him. They speak only in customer-service slogans. He cannot stand up, and he cannot outpace them. HAIRBALL is a short horror film assembled entirely from politeness — the reassurance of a call centre, the optimism of a telecom offer, delivered by people who are empty in every other respect. Nothing is explained. The city stays empty. The message never reaches anyone. Shot in a documentary grammar: available light only, overcast dawn, wet black asphalt, handheld camera at ground level. The oldest image in cinema is an audience backing away from an approaching train. Here the camera is the one retreating, and the picture is the thing advancing. 8ELOV. is a vertical micro-series inspired by the Polish legend of the Golden Duck. In a ruined city where dreams are currency, scavenger Kael follows a mysterious signal beyond the city limits and uncovers a sealed entrance beneath the ground. There he meets Lin, who knows more than she admits. When the system grants them access—at a price—they descend into the hidden world below. The submitted work consists of a prologue and Episode 1 of a planned 25-episode vertical micro-series.
